MVS connection systems

The MVS® joining system for aluminium extrusions is available in several versions: with sharp or rounded edges, straight or inclined, fixed or adjustable elements. The simplicity of assembly and the huge choice of aluminium extrusions and accessories to be combined provide the essential conditions for designing structures of all kinds. The MVS® connection system is highly flexible as it allows subsequent modifications and additions to be made without wasting existing material.

Each aluminium extrusion can be ordered individually and no complex construction work is required. This significantly reduces the cost and time required to build the desired structure, making Meccania’s solutions cost-effective.
The MVS® connection system allows all the different sections of anodised aluminium profiles to be optimally connected to each other, using combination connectors similar to standard connectors.

The Meccania® and Kanya® assembly system is designed to create frames and load-bearing structures with maximum convenience.

The new anchorage has been added to the range and makes it possible to connect extrusions for structures more easily and quickly, without forfeiting the advantage of PVS®.

The new MVS® joining system:

  • is truly versatile and durable;
  • does not require milling as the standard PVS® does, but the use of a cordless drill is sufficient;
  • quick assembly and adjustable extrusion position;
  • is available in an anti-rotation version.

Assembly technique:

  1. A jig is introduced and clamped in the slot of extrusion “A”.
  2. Two holes are bored with a simple drill on the first (non-pass-through) wall.
  3. A plate is fitted on the holes and the threaded grub screw “A” is screwed in.
  4. After inserting the spring and pin into the extrusion slot, the threaded grub screw “B” is screwed in until the cone touches the pin.
  5. The anchor head is inserted into the longitudinal slot of the “B” extrusion (or inserted and rotated) in the centre hole.
  6. The hexagon socket threaded grub screw “B” is inserted until the two extrusions are locked.
