PVS connection systems

The PVS® connection system for aluminium extrusions is available in several versions: with sharp or rounded edges, straight or inclined, fixed or adjustable elements.

The simplicity of assembly and the huge choice of aluminium extrusions and accessories to combine with each other be combined provide the essential conditions for developing creative freedom.

The PVS® connection system is highly flexible as it allows subsequent modifications and additions to be made without wasting existing material.

Each aluminium profileextrusion can be ordered individually and no complex construction work is required. This significantly reduces the cost and time required to build the desired structure, making Meccania’s solutions cost-effective. The PVS® connection system makes it possible to optimally connect all the different sections of anodised aluminium profiles to each other, using combination connectors similar to standard connectors.

Assembly technique

• A blind hole is drilled with a cylindrical cutter, perpendicular to the axis of the previously cut-to-length aluminium extrusion.
• A threaded cylinder, to accept the male cone grub screw, is inserted into the hole previously drilled in the anodised aluminium profile.
• The anchor and return spring are inserted into the cylinder through the coaxial groove of the aluminium profile.
• The anchor is inserted into the outer groove of the extrusion and the Allen screw with conical end is locked, creating a cone-shaped inclined coupling with the V-shaped groove of the anchor. This system achieves a tensile strength between the two extrusions of several thousand Newtons, without risk of breaking or deforming the aluminium alloy parts.
